Works of Walt Disney
Walt Disney moved to Kansas to get a job at the Posman-Rubin Commercial Art Studio for $50 a month. In 1923, he moved to Hollywood and started making animations. On February of 1924, Walt created his own studio called Disney Bros. Studios and his first film called "Alice Comedies" reached the theatres. Two years later, he changed the name of his studio to Walt Disney Studio. On 1928, Walt created his sketch of Mickey Mouse while riding a train. In 1929, he released a series of musical shorts, titled "Silly Symphonies", which featured Mickey’s friends, Donald Duck, Goofy, Pluto and Mickey’s girlfriend, Minnie Mouse.
On 1938, Walt Disney's first successful princess film called "Snow White and the Seven Dwarves" opened to the public. After his first success, he filmed more successful films such as "Bambi", "Fantasia", "Pinocchio", and "Dumbo". In 1950, he released "Cinderella", "Alice in Wonderland", "Peter Pan", "Treasure Island", "Lady and the Tramp", "Sleeping Beauty", and "101 Dalmatians".

Disney’s greatest strength was in story design and after the success that he earned from his films, he and his brother built a studio in Burbank, California and employed more than 1,000 workers and animators. During the late 1930's and the early 1940's, it was a tough time for business in America due to the Great Depression and World War I. Disney was still able to manage his production company by committing himself to his work to produce health, education, and propaganda films for the United States government.

Disney and his company did not produce new films during World War II but in 1944, they re-released "Snow White and the Seven Dwarves" in theatres and attracted a larger audience. This brought a huge amount of income into their company in that year. Disney thought re-releasing successful films every 10 years, was a strategy to earn more money and continue the success of his films.
As the company grew, Disney decided to create his first live-action film called "Treasure Island". It was released in 1950. At the same time, he debuted the popular TV show called "Mickey Mouse Club". The company then created a new motion picture distribution division called "Buena Vista Distribution" years later. This way, he was able to create more live-action films without having to cost a lot of money. One of the most famous live-action films that he created was "Mary Poppins" which was released in the year 1964.
Walt Disney had bigger plans for his company. In 1954, he debuted his own TV program called "Disneyland" and few years earlier, he began to draw plans for his upcoming giant theme park, also called "Disneyland". The theme park opened in 1955 and it was a theme park that was different than any other theme parks that the world had ever seen.
